For Immediate Release:

Digital Promotions is Providing Masks for Health Care Workers Through Donations and Volunteers

Louisville, Ky.

Digital Promotions and CrossRoads Missions are using their resources to produce medical masks for health care and other front-line workers. Years of working with volunteers, responding to disasters and working alongside other organizations to serve local communities has uniquely prepared them to respond to crises. The shortage of personal protective equipment during the current coronavirus pandemic is no different.

“Now as we face the pandemic of COVID-19, CrossRoads Missions and Digital Promotions are forming partnerships with local surgeons, emergency room physicians, primary care doctors, respiratory therapists, healthcare heroes at work, filter companies and many others, to mass produce respiratory filters for our front line health care workers,” said Rob Minton, President of Digital Promotions, who happens to also be Executive Director of CrossRoads Missions.

“Whether an immigration crisis on the southern border, or helping thousands recover post Katrina, CrossRoads Missions is always ready to help in a time of crisis,” Minton said.

Thanks to Minton’s ingenuity and the hard-working staff’s dedication, Digital Promotions was able to quickly retool their commercial embroidery equipment to begin rapidly producing hundreds of masks per day.

Each mask is constructed using the following materials:

  • (2) 6” .200” plastic 24-gauge 2 wire single profile bendable nose and chin inserts designed for ultimate form retention and comfortable fit.
  • (1) 10.5” long, ¼” LATEX FREE woven elastic head band
  • (1) 12” x 12” 12 mil, 1.4 oz. osy engineered non-woven SMS fiber
  • (1) 8.5” x 8.5” 3.1 oz. osy MB CL 1909 MERV 15 filtration media

The organization has opportunities for you to help fight the spread of the novel coronavirus right now.

“We are accepting donations to purchase the filter material necessary to make the medical masks, and to keep our team working the long hours it will take to produce these masks. The filter material can be expensive and as masks are produced and donated, we will need to continually procure more,” Minton said.

“Digital Promotions, CrossRoads Missions and our partners will be donating all the masks produced, therefore we are turning to our friends,  families and those who are blessed by our front line heroes to provide the donations to make this possible. Together we can make a difference that not only protects the ones we love, but allows us to love on others care for them in times of crisis.”We are also actively looking for volunteers in Louisville who are willing to work with us to cut and prep the masks materials.  We need 10 people per day.  We are working 9am to 1pm and 1pm – 5pm shifts Monday thru Saturday.  We are following social distancing and CDC guidelines.  Here is the direct link for people to sign up.  It has our guidelines on the web page.
